Learn To Skate

Join the Northeast Ice Skating Club’s accredited Learn to Skate Program! Using U.S. Figure Skating guidelines and experienced, accredited coaches, you will learn the basics of ice skating in a fun & supportive environment. Your skater will build a strong foundation easing the transition to competitive hockey and figure skating or to just enjoy recreational skating.

  • Professional coaching staff with many years of combined experience. All are rated with U.S. Figure Skating & the Professional Skaters Association
  • Small class sizes for figure & hockey
  • All ages & abilities (3 to Adult)
  • Classes include supervised instruction, freeskate time & demonstrations by advanced skaters
  • Skaters will learn new & exciting maneuvers & will be tested as they progress

2012 Winter Learn to Skate & Badge Classes

Session IV: January 5 – March 24
Session III: November 3 – December 29, 2011


Throughout the Winter Learn to Skate Program we will allocate certain Learn to Skate Days for the following activities:

  • Bring-A-Buddy / Theme Day: Students will be invited to bring a friend to LTS for a fun-filled session of skating with the Northeast ISC Professionals. We will announce a special theme for this day to give skaters a chance to dress up & have some extra fun with their friends!

  • Circuit Training Days: Students will be introduced to a variety of skating disciplines on circuit training days. Circuit Training will include: Ice Dancing, Pairs Skating, Moves in the Field, Choreography , Power & Edges, Synchronized Skating

LTS Program this summer. We hope to see you there!

  • Snowplow Sam (Ages 3+), Badges 1-8,
  • Freestyle 1 - 6
  • Beginner Hockey & Adult Classes

** Late registrations are always accepted if space is still available - class fees will be pro-rated accordingly**

Additional Information:

  • Dress: Single blade skates are required. Helmets are mandatory for Tots & Learn to Skate thru Basic Badge 3. Bike helmets are acceptable. Hats, mittens, warm clothes & water-proof pants are recommended for new and/or younger skaters.
  • Each Session is a Non-Refundable Registration Fee
  • Late registrations are always accepted if space is still available - we will pro-rate the class fee accordingly
  • Walk-in registrations welcome, space provided
  • Skaters will be divided into groups by age & ability level
  • Annual $25 registration fee applies to all skaters
  • Incase of inclement weather, cancellation notices will be left on the club office line.
